Many people who smell raw aloe don’t enjoy the smell of it. We put an extremely small amount, less than .005% of pure vanilla essential oil in the product to balance the scent so it becomes, essentially, unscented. Our formulation experts have indicated to us that this should have no negative impact to the human body. Our other scents, Tahitian Vanilla and French Lavender, are designed to provide sensory experiences (smells) that enhance the intimate experience, should people enjoy that.

With trembling fingers, I tore into the huge package and immediately opened the french lavender. It smells like running through the English countryside, the gentle wind tousling your hair as you throw it back and smile at the Orlando-Bloom-esque man who’s frolicking behind you carrying a bouquet of flowers and an engagement ring.

But, sorry. You can’t win that one. I opened it. It’s mine.

And I keep looking longingly at the other two boxes full of aloe goodness, but I know in my heart that the universe wants me to pass on the love.

Now, I can’t give you a full monte review here, because I haven’t used the Aloe Cadabra in it’s, um, marketed use. As you know, Fiance’s out of town and … yeah.

However! I will tell you that this stuff is AWESOME as a hand softener. I use it a couple of times a day – just slather it on – and my hands don’t only smell divine, but they’re super soft.

And it worked wonders that one time a few days ago when I forgot that the backs of hands and broilers ne’re should meet. I had a huge burn that is now completely healed (four days later), and I gotta thank Aloe Cadabra for that magic.

I can only dream of the other kinds of magic it could bring.

Aloe Cadabra is mostly made up of the obvious: aloe. It’s basically organic aloe vera gel with a little bit of organic vanilla essential oil and some preservatives. Does this mean you could go out and buy aloe vera gel to the same result? Maybe. What I like about Aloe Cadabra is that it feels good. A lot of personal lubricants tend to be sticky, gooey, and gloppy. Dan and I don’t use lubricants very often, except for anal play or occasionally for masturbation, so while we’re not reaching for lubricant every day, we use it enough to have experienced the general stickiness of a lot of lubes. Aloe Cadabra doesn’t have that stickiness. It has the consistency of hand sanitizer, though it is much creamier. Just a small amount, about a dime-sized worth glop, is enough, though of course for certain activities it never hurts to use a bit more.

I really enjoyed this lube. I really love anything with aloe, and the light scent of vanilla was very pleasant. The packaging was very nice. It was very easy to apply whether using it alone or with a toy. I did not need to reapply as it was very effective in getting the oven hot enough to not need to reapply. I would definitely use this lube again and again. I do prefer a lubricant that allows me to enjoy what the purpose of lube is for, and this product did that for me. Very enjoyable.
