The Brutocos moved to the charming town of Ojai over a decade ago, and purchased a stunning, 11-acre hillside ranch. They planted their first crop of a special variety of Aloe vera, barbadensis, which is primarily grown for medicinal purposes. They had the perfect environment to grow Aloe, and soon had a generous crop for personal and commercial use. In those early days they used the Aloe privately as a beverage, personal lubricant, and to treat scrapes, burns and various skin irritations for farm workers, friends and family. They also sold Aloe to a local company for production purposes, and sold fresh Aloe leaf at the local Ojai Farmers Market. They had an abundance of Aloe in their life!
Rinaldo, a scientist at heart, was well aware of the anti-bacterial, anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties of Aloe, but he did not know why it was such a great lubricant, or why it had a healing effect on the vaginal tissue.
